I absolutely love shooting with families. It is best part of my job and allows me to be flexible and creative in such a fun way.

As you prepare for Fall family sessions and Christmas minis, here are 5 poses that I love and it fun to use in your family pictures.


5 family picture poses you need at your family session


1- ring around the Rosie:

I love to ask the siblings to play ring around the Rosie or mom with the kids, it creates natural smiles and beautiful motion and the kids feel relaxed and comfortable.


2-family walking:

I ask the family to hold hands and walk together, look toward me and look at one another.


3- Kids kissing each other:

Those are my favorites when I take photos for the siblings and the parents stand behind me to try to make them laugh. It is beautiful to have photos for just the kids and their beautiful expressions.


4-Child laying on lap:

I love having mom on the ground and having a child lay on her lap.


5- piggyback ride:

I love when a younger sibling ride on his older sibling's back or Dad and his son, it creates genuine laughter.
